Happy 60th Republic Day India!

Author: As India celebrates its 60th Republic Day, there has been a big brouhaha made of the reinterpretation of the classic 1988 song Mile Sur Mera Tumhara to mark the event. The original song was made to focus on national integration and unity in diversity when it aired on Indepdence Day 1988.
The current revamping of the song Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara features alot of celebrated Indian actors, athletes, singers, musicians and artists who portray India’s beautiful locations through different languages and regions.
Many are complaining the new song loses its appeal and looks more like a promotion video for the Industry’s celebrities….Frankly, we think both songs are beautiful!!
