1. Shahrukh Khan. Whatever you think of SRK up til now, leave it behind. This SRK incomparable to any other SRK you’ve ever seen. He is no longer Rahul, that cutesy romantic leading man, he is Rizvan Khan the sweet, charismatic aam-person who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome, believes in good deeds and is too perfect in reel/real life. SRK will win every damn award ever this year and next. Promise.

2. Kajol. If you’ve been dying to see sparks, electricity and magnetism hypnotise you on screen then your prayers have been answered in this K-Jo film! Kajol is just amazing, in every scene, in every angle and in every way. Flawless beauty with a flawless performance. No more words to add here.

4. Karan Johar. As a storyteller and best friend to SRK + K, expectations were high for this film. But ONLY ONLY KJo could’ve surpassed then x a bajill which he has clearly done. The love story, the heartbreak, the tragedy and the pain is conveyed so convincingly in each scene that you want to reach out and cheer/console Rizvan and Mandira at many points in the film. KJo for Best Director of the year/decade/century. Period.

5. The script. The narrative of the film was emotional and moving with the right amount of humor, romance and overarching theme of peace.  The script dealt with incidents in the post 9/11 without too much melodrama and exaggeration which made the scenes so easy to relate to. The best part of MNIK was the message of the film, the message of tolerance, love and peace. One of the most well-written and poignant scripts in the history of Indian cinema.

Imran Khan put a ring on his girlfriend of 5 years, Avantika Malik daughter of TV18′s executive Vandana Malik in front of 300 guests including Karan Johar, Kunal Kapoor and Aamir Khan at Malik’s farmhouse in Kajrat.

Imran wore a black bandgala sherwani designed by Karan Johar and Varun Bahl and Avantika wore a blue Varun Bahl lehenga as the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na slipped a ring which he designed onto his lady’s finger.

Awww!!

Imran also gifted AM a red Volkswagen Beetle with the license plate being a combination of their birthday. How adorable!

Congratulations you newly engaged lovebirds!

P.S. Missing from the celebration was IK’s bff Ranbir Kapoor. Sources say that since RK was Avantika’s ex (they dated for 5 years!) he opted out of attending to avoid any awkwardness. Good call?

Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Karan Johar unveiled the look of My Name is Khan last night in Mumbai at the JW Marriott ahead of the first official trailer being launched on the Star network worldwide.

SRK + K are our faaaave jodi ever!!! SRK looks soo adorable hanging onto KJo’s arm! Hehe

Who else is started a countdown to MNIK Feb 12th??!

Farah Khan choreographed the circus-themed lingerie fashion shor for Triumph where many celebrities turned up to support the brand and obviously her! This is the 2nd year that she did the show and its amazing considering that she still choregraphs for films, is working on her own films (scripting/directing) and is handling her three triplets! Whew!

Director Karan Johar, actors Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Chunky Pandey, Raveena Tandon, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, director (and Farah’s husband) Shirish Kunder, tennis star Sania Mirza and the MD of Triumph India Thorsten Allenstein were all in attendance of the show.

Interestingly enough, many media outlets were surprised that Farah’s BFF SRK was missing. We are sure he was there in spirit!!

The men’s magazine celebrated the GQ Man of the Year awards recently and also dedicated an issue to the 2009 awards. Winners included Abhay Deol (Breakthrough talent of the year), Irrfan Khan (Outstanding Achievement of the year), Shashi Tharoor (Inspiration of the year), Karan Johar and Katrina Kaif (Excellence of the year), Kareena Kapoor (Woman of the year), Omar Abdullah (Young leader of the year), Amitabh Bachchan (Lifetime achievement) and Saif Ali Khan (Chivas Ultimate GQ Man of the year).

CONGRATS!!!

There were definetly alot of fashion winners and tamatars at the GQ Man of the Year awards:

Kareena Kapoor and her man Saif Ali Khan took home the GQ Woman of the Year and the GQ Man of the Year. Whereas Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with a Lifetime Achivement award.

Among the attendees were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shweta Nanda (sister of Abhishek Bachchan), Jaya Bachchan, Katrina Kaif who arrived with Karan Johar, Lara Dutta who was accompanied by Abhay Deol, Chitrangada Singh and Malaika Arora Khan.
