We were drooling over how absolutely delicious Preity Zinta looked in a veeerrryyy tight strapless dress at the Sports Illustrated Awards which she attended with the newly single Sania Mirza by her side.

Shilpa Shetty and Preity Zinta looked absolutely gorj as they attended the Indian Premier League press conference following the auction on Monday.

Ms Shetty is the co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals cricket team along with her husband Raj Kundra and was looking muy caliente in a blue wrap dress accented with a black Hermes Birkin. PZ was also looking uber chic in a hounds-tooth dress paired with a cropped blazer and belt as she discussed the future of her team, the Kings XI Punjab team which she solely owns after the separation from ex-boyfriend Bombay Dyeing heir Ness Wadia who bought the team.

It’s lovely to see the actresses diversifying into business ventures especially when they are no longer lighting up the silver screen like they used to!!

PZ presented Amitabh Bachchan with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Mumbai Film Festival in Mumbai.

It’s nice to see her out and about now just sign more films!!!!!!

Preity looking pretty like always. Now hurry up and release some films PLEASE!!

Sony Entertainment Television is set to bring the drama from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! to the Indian audiences!!

We were so completely glued when The Hills‘ Spencer and Heidi Pratt were causing all sorts of mayhem on the US Version and we can’t wait to see what’ll happen on this desi version!!

The jungle which has been chosen is the Taman Negara tropical rainforest in Malaysia and there are a whole host of names you will probably recognize (and others you probably will not hehe).

Among them is Aakash Deep Saigal “Ansh” from hit television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Aman Vermaan an actor but whose more famous  for that casting couch sting operation, singer Anaida, Chetan Hansraj “Sasha” from tv show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, hip hop Canadian artists IshQ Bector , model Marc Robinson who is also Preity Zinta’s ex-boyfriend and Mona Vasu who played Millie on the Star Plus.

Quite alot of stars turned out to celebrate Kambakht Ishq being the biggest opener of 2009. Despite it being panned by critics, it t grossed well over Rs 30 crore in just the first 3 days!

This is the latest product which Ms Priety Zinta is endorsing, it a fairness and bleach cream (or both? bit confused as to what it actually is).

Anyway we are a bit vexed as to what to think about this. No doubt P-Zin is looking good courtesy of the excessive photoshoping etc, but the nature of the ad is a bit disconcerting.

When you are asked to endorse such products, we just wonder if you realize that you are perpetrating the myth that the fairer/whiter young girls and women are, the more successful life/marriage and happily ever after is to attain!

We still do love all of Preity’s movies and her career graph has been stellar but by endorsing this, she sure sends a strong message: I did it for the money! Ka-ching.

Perhaps not the message you were intending to send, Ms Zinta?

Deepa Mehta, director of Water and recently the Preity Zinta starrer Heaven on Earth is eagerly anticipating the wedding of her daughter Devyani Saltzman to editor of Canadian Architect magazine Ian Chodikoff.

Mehta told IANS that she can’t think of anything except my daughter’s wedding. Ian is a wonderful son-in-law. And yes he’s Canadian.

The wedding will take place at Mehta’s country villa on the outskirts of Toronto on September 12th and the ceremony will be a mix of Hindu and Christian rituals.

We can’t wait to see pictures and of course, seeing how well-know Ms Mehta there is no doubt that the who’s-who of the industry will attend. Apparently, Akshay Kumar the start of Mehta’s next historial epic Komagata Maru is attending.

Congrats to the bride-to-be!

As the industry reacts with shock and disbelief about Shiney Ahuja’s admission of raping his maid, he has been held in Judicial Custody since June 13th.

While most industry-insiders were quick to condemn his actions, others waited for more concrete evidence. Medical examinations of the 18 year old confirms that Ahuja sexually assaulted her, however Ahuja has vehemently denies it even admitting all that occurred was consensual.

Mahesh Bhatt who is responsible for Ahuja’s most sucessful hit Gangster was quoted as saying: the news has shocked and shamed us. The Shiny we at Vishesh Films worked with in Gangter and Woh Lamhe is not the demon that surfaced in the media on Sunday night. If what is alleged is proved in the courts we must condemn the dastardly deed with all our might. Our outrage cannot be selective.

Ahuja’s wife has stood right by her husband throughout the crisis and alleges that he is being framed because of his celebrity status.

Unfortunately for many film producers and directors, there are close to Rs. 10-12 crores ridding on Ahuja’s court decision. In all he has 4 films which include Jahnu Barua’s Har Pal with Preity Zinta, Anurag Chaudhary’s Accident with Soha Ali Khan, Vinod Pande’s Chalu Movies Inc and Silver Cord with Val Kilmer.

The industry (and the MM)  await the trail and ultimate court decision of this matter.
