It’s done! Finally!

After all the controversy surrounding the nuptials of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and Hyderabadi tennis star Sania Mirza, the two finally tied the knot on April 12th in Hyderabad.

The Nikah took place with 70 family/friends in attendance where the bride wore her mother’s bridal wear and the groom wore a black sherwani by Shantanu and Nikhil. After the Nikah, guests were treated to a yummy menu consisting of Hyderabadi delicacies.

Congrats to the new and happy shaadi’d up couple!

We were drooling over how absolutely delicious Preity Zinta looked in a veeerrryyy tight strapless dress at the Sports Illustrated Awards which she attended with the newly single Sania Mirza by her side.

Farah Khan choreographed the circus-themed lingerie fashion shor for Triumph where many celebrities turned up to support the brand and obviously her! This is the 2nd year that she did the show and its amazing considering that she still choregraphs for films, is working on her own films (scripting/directing) and is handling her three triplets! Whew!

Director Karan Johar, actors Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Chunky Pandey, Raveena Tandon, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, director (and Farah’s husband) Shirish Kunder, tennis star Sania Mirza and the MD of Triumph India Thorsten Allenstein were all in attendance of the show.

Interestingly enough, many media outlets were surprised that Farah’s BFF SRK was missing. We are sure he was there in spirit!!

Indian tennis champion Sania Mirza was engaged to her childhood friend and Hyderbad-based buiness man Moh’d Sohrab Mirza this past weekend.

Aww Mirza and Mirza! Sania won’t need a name change now. Hehe

Her outfit was created by the Delhi-based designer duo Nikhil-Shantanu and looked so gorgeous! Absolutely love the mehndi, so dark and lovely!

Ms Mirza, 23, was linked to Shahid Kapoor at one point but clearly that wasn’t meant to be.

Congrats to the couple and let’s hope she doesn’t do like all the Indian Actress’s and quit her career to “focus” on motherhood and all that other fun stuff.
