We’re really loving Atif Aslam’s track on the Vivek Oberoi starrer-Prince It’s Showtime!!!

VO has his fingers crossed that the film will do well and once again cement his position is a leading action star. The film looks interesting but we are more captivated by AA who  has this amazingly unique voice quality making the song really catchy!

The film hits theatres April 9th.

Quite a few A-listers turned out the for the music launch of Hide & Seek which is the directorial debut of Shawn Arranha. The film also marks the debut for a former Miss India Amruta Patki (in the blue metallic dress with the sparkly accents) who has been doing alot of charity work and modelling assignments while secretly waiting for a film role.

Here is the official synopsis of the film: Hide & Seek is about six childhood friends who play a game of hide and seek on a cold Christmas night and as they grow up, they find themselves playing the same game unknowingly in a deadly way.

Apoorva Lakhia is producing the film which kinda sounds like a ripoff of I Know What You Did Last Summer with an Indian twist because instead of saying “IKWYDLS” the killer says “Caught You!” (we’re not kidding!) meaning I-know-what-you-did-back-when-you were-little-kids wearing that weird fisherman black cape and carring a hook style knife/machete thing.

We’ll give it a watch. For funsies. HEHE.

P.S. It is rumoured that Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi perfectly timed their arrival down to the seconds to avoid each other at the event!!

The Sabse Favourite Kaun awards were given out last night in Mumbai and the star-studded event attendees included Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan, Asin, Payal Rohtagi etc.

Some people were aapke favourite and some weren’t, but the only thing we’re keen on is judging who looked the best last night!!! Hehe.

Our best dressed goes to Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi.

It was the premiere of James Cameron’s Avatar last night in Mumbai and quite a few of our fave sitarey turned out to watch the flick including Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Balki, Shah Rukh Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Yash Chopra and Govind Nihlani.

Lucky them, they got to see the  OFFICIAL trailer of My Name is Khan ahead of everyone!

Yes unless you’ve been living in a cave, you will know by know that Karan Johar’s Dharma Pictures sealed the deal with Fox for distribution rights of the film and so the trailer of MNIK with Avatar- worldwide! Wooo!

Eeeeeee!

Vivek Oberoi killed it with his performance at Riyaaz in Kurbaan and now he’s all sleek, stylish and all hero-esque in Prince It’s Showtime. This is his first film he’s headlining in a loooooooong time.

WHAT a starstudded reception!

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra threw a GRAND reception at the Grand Hyatt and many many starlets showed up to make it a memorable affair.

Among the attendees were Amitabha Bachchan and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, singer Adnan Sami, Vivek Oberoi, Hrithik Roshan with wife Suzanne Roshan,  Shahrukh Khan along with wife Gauri, Ritesh Deshmukh, Amisha Patel, noted lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress wife Shabana Azmi, Sunil Shetty, Rani Mukherjee with her mother, Govinda and family, R. Madhavan with his wife, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Gulshan Grover and the list goes on….

Without these two entities- love, a relationship and marriage will not survive. The love story of Avantika (Kareena Kapoor) and Ehsaan (Saif Ali Khan) is the story of kurbaani, vishwas and pyaar.

Kurbaan is a love story at its core with a strong message of faith, the Islamic identity and tolerance running parallel. The intriguing aspect is how director Rensil D’Silva was able to synthesize these  messages in his directorial debut so flawlessly. It’s hard to believe that this is D’Silva’s FIRST film. Ever!

So let’s get down to the reasons you should paisa karcho:

5 Reasons to watch Kurbaan:

1. Saif Ali Khan. He is so charismatic, intense and engaging on screen. His chemistry with KK is so electrifying and pure that its unbelievable. You won’t be able to help yourself as you empathize for him.

2. Kareena Kapoor. She is TRULY one of the industry’s finest. Whether she plays a girl falling deeper in love in the first half with bright blue eyeliner and colourful kurtas or the jaded, betrayed and broken wife with no makeup in the second half…your eyes are completely fixated on her. Brilliant. Effortlessly brilliant.

3. Vivek Oberoi. He is the surprise package. Period. He emotes with such depth that its hard to believe that he’s been missing from films because of an unfortunate incident. This will truly be the turning point for his career and a true milestone of his acting potential.

4. The music. The portrayal and the perfect composition of Shukran Allah, Rasiya and Ali Maula are to be watched for the underlying tone by which they move the film forward.

It definitely looks edgy and enticing! Eeeeeeeeeeeee.

Apparently, SAK is playing a radical terrorist and KK is in love with him. So basically a love story with a social message, we presume?

This flick is Rensil D’Silva’s directorial debut. D’Silva was actually behind the screenplay of the epic Aamir Khan film Rang de Basanti and other such as Luck and Aks.

We expect BIG things Mr D’Silva!!! Hehe.

Oh and the film also stars Aishwarya Rai’s once-upon-a-time ex Vivek Oberoi! Haven’t seen much of him since that bomb Mission Istanbul.
